The 2nd Battalion The Gordon Highlanders joined the 227th Infantry Brigade on 31 July 1943 and served there until it was disbanded on 31 August 1945. Regimental tartan is Gordon Cap badge: Gordon Highlanders white metal cap badge on a 3" square tartan patch.
